SHIPPING POLICY

SECOND CHANCE COLLECTION

Please note Fig Tree Lane Shop 'Second Chance' collection will only sell and ship items within the UK. Please do not buy products directly associated with Fig Tree Lane Shop Second Chance Collection if you are located outside of UK.

 

Items from the ‘Second Chance’ collection will be delivered by Royal Mail to the address provided by you on your order form.

 

Standard 3-5 Day Shipping, with all orders aimed to be dispatched within 48hours of order confirmation.

*Note that there may be delays with Royal Mail postage due to COVID19. We do not take responsibility for these delays as they are outside of our control. 

We use the following guidelines for calculating shipping costs:

For parcels under 2kg:​

  • Royal Mail 1st Class (1-2 working days) - £3.50

 

DELIVERY OF FOOD/CLEANING PRODCUTS & SUBSCRIPTION BOXES

Deliveries will be made by a representative from Fig Tree Lane Shop each week for items purchased from our 'Subscription Box' category, or 'Grab & Go' category. Deliveries will be carried out on the same day of each week, unless previously stated by Fig Tree Lane. We always aim to have our goods delivered within the stated time frame, however do not take responsibility for goods that have been delivered late due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

SHIPPING POLICY FOR VENDORS

Items purchased from the ‘Local Vendors’ shop collection will have individual shipping policies dependant on the provider. All available shipping details will be listed in the item description. Please review all shipping details, along with any terms and conditions prior to finalising your ‘Local Vendors’ sale. Fig Tree Lane Shop does not take responsibility for the preparation, shipping and delivery of the items sold through this collection. Individual sellers must be contacted directly for additional shipping information.

ADDITIONAL TERMS

DELAYS

We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. We will not be liable for delays caused by the event, however if there is a substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS IF GOODS ARE DELIVERED LATE

You have legal rights if we deliver any products late. If we miss the delivery deadline for any products then you may treat the contract as at an end straight away if any of the following apply:

(a)  we have refused to deliver the products; or

(b)  you told us before we accepted your order that delivery within the delivery deadline was essential.

FAULTY ITEMS

Fig Tree Lane will carefully package all orders to ensure safe delivery. Please check the condition of your item when it arrives. If there is a fault with an item as result of the delivery process, please contact us  at: figtreelane.shop@gmail.com as soon as possible.

WHEN WE MAY REFUSE A DELIVERY

We may refuse to deliver an item to you if:

  • You do not make any payment to us when it is due upon order confirmation

  • You do not, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information that is necessary for us to provide you with an item; or

  • You do not, within a reasonable time, allow us to deliver an item to you.

  • You do not reside within the specified areas of available delivery for the product.

In any of those circumstances, we will refund any money you have paid in advance for items we have not delivered to you but we may deduct reasonable compensation for the net costs we will incur as a result of your actions.

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT ORDERING FROM US

Please provide your order number, name, address, and details of your order.  If you change your mind about ordering an item from us for any reason after the item has been dispatched to you or after you have received it, you must return the item to us. Please email us directly for the return shipping address. Please note this condition applies only to items within the ‘Second Chance’ collection, as all food and cleaning products are not eligible for return, and Local Vendor returns need to be organised directly through the listed business.

 

WHEN YOU BECOME RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRODUCTS

A product will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the product to the address you have provided.

 

WHEN YOU OWN THE GOODS

You own a product once we have received payment in full.

Return & Exchange Policy

If you’re not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help!

Our returns policy is active and available to you for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

  • Returns are available only on Fig Tree Lane’s ‘Second Chance’ collection. Returns are not available on any additional food, cleaning, subscription or shop items unless by fault or damage from Fig Tree Lane Shop.

  • Returns from our ‘Local Vendors’ collection must be organised and approved directly through the selling vendor. Fig Tree Lane Shop is not responsible for organising the return, exchange or refund of any product purchased from an individually listed vendor.

  • Our address for returns is available to you on request via email. Please contact us at figtreelane.shop@gmail.com with the details of your return (including your full name, order number, name of items to be returned as per invoice, and remarks) and we will happily send you through the further information. Please do not attempt to return any items without contacting us via email first.

  • Your item must be returned to us in the same condition that you received it in - where possible, please include tags and any packaging.

  • Any costs for sending items back to us will need to be paid by you (unless the item is faulty or incorrect) and you must obtain a Proof of Postage receipt from the Post Office.  We cannot be held responsible for items that do not reach us or which are returned to us by mistake. If you are shipping an item over £25, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

  • We offer a free ‘drop off’ service for those located within the Belfast area, while allows for you to drop your returned item off to us in Belfast free of charge. To use this service you must contact us and have your drop off located approved by a member of Fig Tree Lane.

  • If an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund and we may have to send the item back to you

REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

 

If your refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to the original credit or debit card used. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

GIFTS
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.
